We Need Your Help with the Building this Weekend

Members and Friends,
header-IMG_0935-TR-centre-template The work being done to renovate 257 Hildebrand is tremendous. We have really taken on some big tasks this week. The team has been committed to laying the ground for a flourishing Shambhala Center. It has been inspiring to be a part of this even in the small ways I can contribute.
A great part of a project like this is that it becomes an environment where people really pull together and share in a sense of accomplishment. We are not just doing a renovation project here, we’re on the ground floor of community building.
It’s understood that most of us lead busy lives and it’s important to have a sense of balance with work, family, and all our endeavors. Spending some time with our community here may actually help establish that balance for many of us. Actually, that may be what Sangha is.
So this weekend is a particularly important opportunity; there’s jobs to do for people at all levels of ability and experienced people here to help guide the projects. If you can commit your time – even if it’s just a few hours – please respond so we can get our priorities of work established.
The goal for this weekend is to get us to the point of painting and laying floors, all of this is doable but it is going to require help from as many of our members and friends as possible.
      Yours truly – Morgan Burnham
