Trick or Treat for the Homeless
(a fundraiser for the shelter called Haven for Hope)

You know what’s really scary to think so much about
Is that there are so many children who have to go without
And even as you plan for this exciting time
Of dressing up your own kids or smearing them with slime

There’s still so many others who would like to go out too
And dress up like a witch and see if they scare you
But still there’s something more of this story to be told
So many of these kids are living homeless in the cold

So maybe reach into your pocket to see what you can spare
Donate something for these kids to show them that you care
For them every day is haunted you can hear their silent cries
But you have a chance right now to really sympathize

A lifeline is created to help these kids that are so blue
A source of help that comes right from the very heart of you
