Give the Gift of Goodness

Winter SunDear Shambhala Community and Friends,

Our new center on 257 E Hildebrand is looking amazing! Thank you all who have helped financially and physically with the property and its amazing renovation. Click here for a brief video of the new meditation hall.

We desperately need one more big push to move in on January 1st! I can’t understate the importance of our immediate need to fundraise this holiday season. We need to raise $10,000 to complete move-in renovations. Just yesterday we raised $1,000 of that, so we can do this! We are so close. Please don’t let us come up short!

Click here to donate online through Paypal.

The needed funds will go to numerous things, including the payment of work for a new bathroom floor and toilet, dry wall, new water heater, furnace maintenance, tons of paint, and more.

During this holiday season, please consider giving to the center what you can. Also, in lieu of gifts for yourself, we are asking that you consider sending the message at the end of this email to loved-ones looking for gift ideas.

Thank you so much! I look forward to seeing you all at the new center soon!

—————-
The Shambhala Meditation Center of San Antonio has purchased its first building after 25 years of providing mindfulness practices in South Texas. In lieu of purchasing me a gift this year, I’m requesting that you donate a tax-deductible gift towards the meditation center’s renovation fund. This all-volunteer organization is looking to raise $10,000 by January 2014, so every bit helps!

It is the Shambhala view that every human being has a fundamental nature of goodness, warmth and intelligence. This nature can be cultivated through meditation, following ancient principles, and it can be further developed in daily life, so that it radiates out to family, friends, community and society. Your gift would go very far in continuing to provide hundreds of people in South Texas, of all religious backgrounds, opportunity to realize their basic goodness.

The Shambhala Meditation Center of San Antonio is a 501c3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization (Tax ID 91-1798367). Donors who donate by 12/19/13 will receive a special gift card that they can send to their loved-ones for the holidays.
