Social Meditation:  Community Awake on the Spot!

In Social Meditation, we expand our meditative awareness to include our communication and interaction with each other. By creating this space together, we can directly experience our own and each other's goodness, and create a culture of genuineness, openness, and nowness.

Social Meditation is a group practice that facilitates creating a culture of nowness, by bringing the wisdom of meditation into the vibrancy of social interaction.  It is often practiced weekly at some Shambhala Centers as an ongoing form of leadership development and community building.

We together create a safe space to be our authentic selves together.

This practice is open to everyone of all ages. We will practice sitting meditation and social meditation with talks and experiential exercises.

Friday night only $10.  Please enter this amount in the "Generosity Policy" field and note that you are attending Friday night only in the comments section.  ($150 program fee includes the entire weekend)

Meals: Coffee will be available in the morning.   Please bring at least $10.00 cash for lunch each day.  We will either all eat out together or have something simple catered, including a vegetarian option.  Anyone with special dietary needs is invited to bring their lunch.  The group is invited to go out to dinner Saturday night, but it is not required.

Please pre-register online, so that we will know if there are sufficient participants to hold the program and may plan snacks and material accordingly.
