Midsummer Day is an opportunity for families and friends in Shambhala to enjoy summer fun together. The day might include picnics, swimming and boating, outdoor sports, and music and dance performances. It begins with a lhasang (a traditional offering of juniper smoke) that purifies the environment and empowers the space, the objects, and the beings within it by invoking awakened energy. Everyone is welcome to join in.

We are reaching out to all members within the Sangha and asking for them to utilize their talents and help us make the Midsummer Day as wonderful and uplifting event. We are in need of the following: Ikebana displays 3 or 4, hor d'oeuvre's, beverages, beer, wine, soda, sparkling cider, etc..., items for the silent auction, and set-up and clean-up. Please reach out to either Heather Wenrich, or Monica Gomez to assist with any of the above listed items, and to help make this year's Summer Solstice a joyful evening for all.
