Join us for a traditional toast welcoming the dawn. We will gather at 7:00 am. Traditional beverages (both non/and alcohol) will be provided by the center. We are encouraged to set an intention for this Year of the Fire Bird, which you can include in your toast.
An outdoor lhasang will follow at 7:30 am. This is a traditional ceremony using juniper smoke to purify the environment and empower the space, objects, and all beings, inviting the awakened energy.
Potluck breakfast nibbles will follow the lhasang. Everyone is invited to bring a simple breakfast finger food snack – but if you don’t have time to prepare something, please join us anyway.
Following the live broadcast of the Shambhala Day Address by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, we will break for time with family and friends. Our festivities will resume later with an evening of Celebration, including an opportunity to become a Shambhala Member.
Further information will be provided as plans unfold!
