Reminder to Donate to the Homeless Children Drive Poem

WHAT CAN I DO?
To give a homeless child happiness on Halloween
Not just on Halloween but on the days in between
Days set aside for celebration and remembrance
What they really need; a home and loving parents

I surmise, unable to provide with my coin
Food, shelter, clothing, education, join
With friends and neighbors in providing,
Giving a moment of joy and caring

Moving our Halloween party to the homeless shelter
Donating clothing, necessities, other plunder
Wearing homemade costumes of frivolity and gayety

Being Ghosts, Ghouls, Goblins, Witches, other travesty.

Distributing hot dogs, cold drinks, Halloween candy
Food for hungry children, handy
Bright moments in a drab, dull existence
Taking so much effort for just subsistence

Being aware of signs of abuse, ill treatments
Being kind and loving foster parents
Having an empty nest in your place
Filling a void in your heart with love’s trace

These are some of the things that I can do
You can do them too.
To lessen a homeless child’s misery
On All Hallows Eve without a great treasury
